ScanBeforeOpen is designed to check visible link and QR-code patterns locally where possible. Entered links or QR contents should not be stored as a personal user profile.

ScanBeforeOpen provides risk hints and awareness information. It cannot reliably detect all malware, does not guarantee that a destination is safe and does not replace antivirus software or professional security tools.

The tool is intended to work without user accounts, registration or a central database of scans.

The public website may be hosted through Vercel. Vercel may process IP addresses and technical request data in standard hosting logs.

If advertising or analytics are enabled, those services should only load after consent where required. Link checks should remain data-minimal by design.
