01

How SweatKey works

SweatKey connects three steps: move, earn time credit, and use protected apps intentionally. The app supports a clear routine instead of a blanket block.

Protected apps are managed through Apple Screen Time frameworks. Their behaviour can vary in individual iOS situations for technical reasons.

02

Move, Earn, Unlock

Movement can generate time credit. The credit appears in Time Balance and can be used for protected apps according to your own rules.

Free includes steps and push ups. Pro extends the selection to all supported exercises and custom reward rules.

03

Steps, workouts, and progress

In version 1, SweatKey processes steps through Motion and Fitness. Supported workouts can be captured with the camera and local body pose recognition. Progress indicators and charts help keep time credit, movement, and rules in view.

Step, repetition, and movement detection can vary for technical reasons. SweatKey is not a medical app and does not replace medical advice.

04

App Protection and Time Balance

The selection of protected apps uses Apple FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity. SweatKey processes the selection tokens provided by Apple for this function.

Pro offers more protected apps within Apple limits, categories, and websites. Rollover, Time Bank, extended limits, rules, and additional challenges are also planned.

05

Privacy first

No user account or custom backend account is planned for the core function. Configuration, progress, rules, challenges, and wallet state can be stored locally on the device.

SweatKey uses no app analytics, advertising, or advertising tracking. Camera and local pose processing take place on device. Workout videos are not stored by default.

06

Free and Pro

Free protects up to two individual apps. Categories and websites are not included. Steps, push ups, basic progress, and the available Free functions remain usable.

Pro unlocks exclusively through a verified active StoreKit entitlement. When it expires or is revoked, the app returns to Free. Local user data is not deleted during that change.
