Privacy Policy for Voxavo

This privacy policy applies specifically to the product Voxavo.

1. Data controller and scope

The controller for the Voxavo app is Tom Silas Helmke, c/o Online-Impressum #4746, Europaring 90, 53757 Sankt Augustin, Germany. Contact: tshfm78@gmail.com. This policy describes processing by the Voxavo app. Processing when visiting tommsel.com is described in section 11 and in the general tommsel.com privacy policy.

2. Privacy in the Voxavo app

Voxavo is local-first. The app uses no user account, no custom backend, no custom cloud database, and no cloud AI. Voxavo does not collect location data, contacts, or an advertising identifier.

3. Data stored locally

Your device stores settings, your own phrases, favorites including their order, and, if enabled, the history. This data is not transmitted by Voxavo to its own servers.

4. Microphone and voice amplification

Voxavo uses the microphone exclusively for active voice amplification and only while this feature is actually in use; there is no background access. The audio signal is processed for playback through the speaker.

5. No audio recording

Voxavo does not store audio recordings or audio files. The voice or conversation of the person you are speaking with is not recorded or stored.

6. History

The optional history contains only text you have entered or spoken. It is stored locally, can be turned off, and can be deleted at any time.

7. Subscriptions, StoreKit, and Apple

Voxavo Pro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription through Apple StoreKit 2. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; Voxavo does not operate its own payment database for this and does not process payment data itself. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's own privacy information.

8. No analytics, advertising, or tracking

Voxavo uses no app analytics, tracking, or advertising.

9. No cloud processing by Voxavo

Voxavo does not sync content through iCloud or CloudKit and does not operate its own cloud synchronization.

10. Deleting local data

Local data can be deleted through app functions and settings and by removing the app from the device. Available iOS options can differ.

11. The tommsel.com website

Data processing when visiting tommsel.com, including hosting and server logs, is described in the general tommsel.com privacy policy and is not covered by this app-specific policy.

12. Your rights and right to lodge a complaint

Where the legal requirements are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You can contact tshfm78@gmail.com and have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
