Privacy Policy for Wavevra

This privacy policy applies specifically to the product Wavevra.

1. Data controller and contact

The controller for the Wavevra app is Tom Silas Helmke, c/o Online-Impressum #4746, Europaring 90, 53757 Sankt Augustin, Germany. Contact: tshfm78@gmail.com.

2. Scope

Wavevra was designed so that audio, video, analysis data, and projects are generally processed locally on your iPhone. The app requires no user account, uses no custom cloud, no advertising, no tracking, and no analytics. Wavevra does not transmit your recorded or imported media to Tommsel servers.

This privacy notice explains what data Wavevra processes on your device, when data can reach Apple or destinations you choose yourself, and what rights you have. Processing when visiting tommsel.com is described in section 11 and in the general tommsel.com privacy policy.

3. Local processing of audio, video, and analysis data

Wavevra processes audio, video, analysis results, project settings, thumbnails, and exports locally on your device for its functions. This content is not transmitted by Wavevra to Tommsel's own servers.

Locally processed information can include, in particular, microphone recordings, camera videos, imported media files, waveforms, spectral data, frequency values, digital level values, project settings, and generated exports.

As far as this processing takes place exclusively locally on your device, Tommsel does not receive this content.

4. Microphone, camera, and photo library permission

Wavevra requests microphone access for live audio and recordings and camera access for video recordings; you grant both permissions deliberately through iOS. To save an export to your photo library, Wavevra requests the iOS add-only photos permission, not full read access to your library.

5. Import, Share, and Files

When you import existing audio or video files, Wavevra processes them locally for analysis, Studio, and export. When you deliberately hand off an export via Share, Save to Photos, or Save to Files, that specific file leaves the app as part of the action and destination you chose.

6. Apple StoreKit and purchases

Wavevra Pro is offered through Apple's in-app purchase and StoreKit system. Purchase processing, payment data, and management of your Apple Account are handled by Apple. Wavevra receives locally the information necessary to unlock features based on valid purchases or subscription entitlements.

Wavevra does not operate its own payment backend for this and does not store credit card or other payment data.

7. No analytics, advertising, or tracking

Wavevra uses no app analytics, tracking, or advertising.

8. Support contact by email

If you contact Wavevra by email, we process your contact details and message to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related inquiries and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general support inquiries.

9. Storage duration and deletion

Local Wavevra content stays stored on your device until you delete it yourself or remove the app. Since this media resides exclusively on your device, Tommsel does not possess it and therefore cannot remotely delete or hand it over on your behalf.

10. The tommsel.com website

Data processing when visiting tommsel.com, including hosting and server logs, is described in the general tommsel.com privacy policy and is not covered by this app-specific policy.

11. Your rights and right to lodge a complaint

Where the legal requirements are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of any consent given. You can contact tshfm78@gmail.com and have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.

12. Changes to this privacy policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026. This policy will be updated if Wavevra features or data processing change.
