AnyConvertor

AnyConvertor is a browser based platform for converting and working with files. You open anyconvertor.com, choose a tool, drop your file into the window or select it, and start processing. Many conversions start right away with sensible defaults, and options are available depending on the tool.

The platform was rebuilt from scratch in October 2026. It replaces the earlier website that focused on 3D files and is a public, active project. No account is required, and there are currently no analytics, no tracking and no ads.

There are currently 65 tools: 35 general file tools and 30 3D tools. They are spread across the five active areas images, PDF, archives, data and 3D.

Internally, the architecture is designed for further areas such as office, audio and video. These are not published at the moment and are not part of the 65 tools.

For images, the tools include PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, PNG to WebP, JPG to WebP, WebP to JPG, WebP to PNG, AVIF to JPG, AVIF to PNG, SVG to PNG and PNG to ICO. There are also resize image, crop image, compress images, rotate and flip images, and batch image conversion.

For PDF, the tools include merge PDF, extract, rotate, sort and delete pages, split PDF, PDF to JPG, PDF to PNG, PDF to text, watermarks and page numbers, as well as JPG to PDF and PNG to PDF.

HEIC to JPG and HEIC to PNG are technically prepared, but are not publicly enabled in the regular production build at the moment, so they are not part of the 65 tools.

For archives, you can create and extract ZIP files. For data, XLSX to CSV, CSV to XLSX, JSON to CSV, CSV to JSON and format JSON are available.

For spreadsheets, the tools convert between formats. Calculating formulas is not part of this.

The 3D area includes 30 tools: 17 converters, 7 viewers, plus mesh repair, triangle reduction, split model, batch processing, image to 3D relief and text to 3D.

Supported formats include STL, OBJ, GLB, glTF, PLY, 3MF, FBX and USDZ. This does not mean that every theoretically possible format combination is available. The tool list shows which conversions exist.

Your files are processed locally in the browser. AnyConvertor has no backend of its own to which files are uploaded for conversion, and it needs no account. Compute heavy tasks run in web workers, and libraries and relevant assets are served with the website, as far as implemented in the current product.

The website itself is delivered through web hosting like any other site. The key distinction: hosting delivers the page, while your files are processed locally. You download the result through a normal download link, and the browser does not save anything automatically.

AnyConvertor treats input files as untrusted. This includes content based file type detection, structure checks, file size and resource limits, time limits, cancellation, releasing blob URLs that are no longer needed, output validation and a content security policy.

For supported PDF edits, newly generated PDFs are checked for problematic structures, and for example JavaScript actions, launch actions, dangerous URI schemes or embedded files are removed or restricted depending on the operation. The result is checked again. SVG files go through allowlist sanitizing, and ZIP handling has protective measures.

The 3D platform was rebuilt technically compared with the earlier version: structure validation, processing in workers, a local Draco decoder, no automatic external texture or material downloads and re-reading of the output.

AnyConvertor is not a malware scanner and does not detect every harmful file. Keep opening files from unknown sources with care.

The website is fully available in German, English, Spanish and French. A global local tool search helps you find the right tool.

The interface is responsive, keyboard operable, offers light mode and dark mode and respects reduced motion. Extensive automated accessibility checks are in place. There is no formal certification and no complete manual screen reader review yet.

The website has 292 indexable content pages in four languages, with their own titles and descriptions, self canonicals, reciprocal hreflang relations, x-default, breadcrumbs and structured data. Tool pages use WebApplication, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage, with FAQPage only where FAQ content is visible. This says nothing about how many pages are actually indexed by search engines.

The new platform was built so that important existing search URLs of the earlier 3D website are preserved or redirected in a targeted way, including /stl-to-obj, /glb-to-stl, /obj-to-stl, /stl-viewer, /repair and /optimize. Old URLs are not redirected wholesale to the home page.
