ClicksLeft

Create links with limited clicks

Create links that self destruct after a certain number of clicks. For time limited offers, exclusive invitations and one time downloads.

About ClicksLeft

ClicksLeft allows you to create links that self destruct after a certain number of clicks. You define how many times a link can be opened, and once the limit is reached the link becomes invalid.

This is useful for time limited offers, exclusive invitations, one time download links or when you want to ensure that a link is not forwarded indefinitely.

You share the generated link and see in real time how many clicks are left.

How It Works

You enter the target URL and select the desired number of clicks (1 to 1000). ClicksLeft generates a short, unique link.

When someone opens the link, the click counter is reduced by one and the user is redirected to the target URL. This process takes less than one second.

Once the counter reaches zero, the link is deactivated. Further visits show a link expired page. The link is automatically deleted from the database shortly after.

Optionally you can set an expiration date. If the link has not used all its clicks by then, it is deactivated anyway.

Use Cases

ClicksLeft has various use cases.

For exclusive invitations: You send a link that can only be opened 5 times. Perfect for beta access, private events or limited offers.

For one time downloads: You share a file via a link that expires after the first click. This ensures the file is only downloaded once.

For contests and promotions: Create a link that only directs the first 100 visitors to the promotion page. All others see a promotion ended page.

For security conscious users: If you need to share a sensitive link (e.g. a temporary password), use a link with only one click. After the recipient has opened the link, nobody else can access it.

Technologies

ClicksLeft is built with Next.js and TypeScript. The backend uses Supabase for storing links and click counters. The application is kept simple and optimized for speed.

Privacy

ClicksLeft only stores the target URL and the click counter. No visitor IP addresses are stored and no tracking is used. Expired links are automatically deleted from the database.
