Lovikora Accessibility
Lovikora is being developed with accessibility in mind. This page factually describes which measures are planned at the current development status and what has not yet been fully tested. Lovikora does not claim full accessibility, a certification, or conformance with a specific standard.
German and English
Lovikora is available in German and English. You can switch the language in the app.
Light and dark
You can choose between light mode, dark mode, and the system appearance. Several accent colours are also available.
Dynamic Type
Text sizes are designed to adapt to the font sizes set in iOS.
VoiceOver
Core controls are designed for VoiceOver support. Using the app with VoiceOver has not yet been fully tested on real devices.
Reduce Motion
If you enable Reduce Motion in iOS, elaborate animations and effects are meant to be reduced.
Touch operation
Lovikora is operated entirely by touch. The heart is designed as a large tap area, and controls are designed with sufficiently large tap areas.
Sound and haptics
Click sounds and haptics can be adjusted in the settings. The game is usable without sound and without haptics.
Readable large counters
Heartbeat counter and streak display are shown large. Very large numbers are abbreviated or wrapped so they stay readable.
Statistics
Statistics are meant not to convey values by colour or graphics alone but also as text. The accessibility of the charts for VoiceOver is still being tested.
Heart Studio
The Heart Studio is highly visual. Sliders and choices are labelled and designed with sufficiently large controls. Designing your own hearts with VoiceOver has not yet been conclusively tested.
Not yet fully tested
Final testing on real hardware, a complete accessibility audit, use with Voice Control, and an instrumentally measured contrast are not yet completed. No WCAG certification is claimed.
Accessibility feedback
If you notice a barrier in Lovikora or need a particular accessibility feature, write to us through the support page at tshfm78@gmail.com. If possible, name the device, iOS version, and the assistive technology you use.
