Privacy Policy for Mentelys

This policy describes processing by the Mentelys app. Processing when visiting tommsel.com, including hosting and any website services, is described in the general tommsel.com privacy policy.

Mentelys uses no user account and no login. There is no custom backend and no custom cloud sync. Training data is stored locally on your device.

Results from your training exercises and checkpoints are processed and stored locally on your device.

Training Balance, Training Level, Streak, Engagement XP, Engagement Level, Achievements, Personal Bests, and Weekly/Monthly Reviews are calculated and stored locally on your device. These values reflect usage and activity only and are not a statement about intelligence or cognitive ability.

Personal Recall content you enter (cue and answer) is stored locally on your device. Personal Recall content does not automatically appear in widgets, notification previews, share cards, analytics, or logs.

Mentelys can use optional local notifications, such as a daily training reminder, a streak reminder, or a Personal Recall due notice. A Personal Recall notification is worded generically and does not name the cue or answer on the lock screen.

Widgets show only aggregated, privacy-safe data such as Daily Training, streak, or progress, and no Personal Recall content.

Share cards are created locally on your device and leave it only through your explicit user action, such as sharing.

Mentelys supports a local backup and restore export as a local file. There is no custom cloud service and no automatic server upload. An exported backup may contain personal recall content. Keep the file secure.

The optional one-time Full Unlock is processed as a non-consumable through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Mentelys does not operate its own payment system and does not receive payment data such as credit card numbers. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's own privacy information.

Mentelys uses no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no external AI.

Local data can be deleted through app functions and settings and by removing the app from the device. Available iOS options can differ.

Where the legal requirements are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You can contact tshfm78@gmail.com and have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
