Privacy Policy for Puckivo

These notes apply to the Puckivo app for iPhone and iPad. Data processing when visiting tommsel.com is described by the general privacy policy of the website.

Puckivo is in development and not yet available on the App Store. The notes describe the current state of development and will be checked against the final source code and the final behavior of the app before release.

Puckivo needs no user account and no login. There is no backend of its own, no server database of its own, and no cloud sync of its own.

Depending on use, the following is stored locally on your device: settings, the chosen language and display options as far as the app stores them, mission results, medals, skill and mastery progress, unlocks, game statistics, Survival best scores, selected pucks, paddles and trails, loadouts, Custom Match settings, sandbox settings, and arenas and challenges you create yourself.

This data is not transmitted to servers of Puckivo or Tommsel.

Game states are processed locally on the device. The local two player mode needs no online account and no multiplayer server of its own. Bot calculations run locally.

Arenas and challenges you create yourself are stored locally on the device. A community or upload platform is not part of the current product.

An optional one-time Full Game Unlock is planned, and purchase handling is not yet finished in the current development build. For release, the following is intended:

The Full Game Unlock is processed as a one-time purchase through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Puckivo operates no payment system of its own and receives no credit card or bank details. Apple processes the purchase under Apple's own privacy terms. The app only receives the information about a valid entitlement that is necessary for unlocking locally.

Puckivo uses no analytics of its own, no tracking, no advertising SDKs, no personalized advertising, no external AI, and no third-party SDKs for user analysis. This statement refers to the app. It will be checked against the final source code, the frameworks used, and network access before release.

If you contact us by email voluntarily, your email address and the content of your message are processed to handle the request and for possible follow-up questions. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Please do not send unnecessary private files or device data.

Local app data stays on the device until you delete it with existing app functions or remove the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device as far as iOS provides for app data. iOS device or iCloud backups may still contain data until they are replaced or deleted according to your system settings.

Puckivo holds no server-side user data, so on the Tommsel side there is no retention period and nothing Tommsel could delete for you. Support emails are only kept as long as needed to handle them and for possible follow-up questions.

When you visit tommsel.com, including hosting and technically necessary server logs, the general tommsel.com privacy policy applies. This processing is separate from processing inside the app.

Where the legal requirements are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw a given consent with effect for the future. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example with the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
