Voice recordings and transcripts are processed locally; JotCue requires no account and runs no custom cloud service for personal content. The app is in development and is not yet available on the App Store.

Quick to capture
A thought, a task, an idea: JotCue captures voice or text immediately and places it in the inbox. From there, you decide at your own pace what happens next.

Notes and tasks
An inbox entry becomes a note or a task. Completed tasks move to Done. Tasks can include a due date and time with local reminders scheduled directly on your device, with no push backend.

Organization
Projects, threads, and categories bring structure to your content. Search helps you find a specific thought again later.

Attachments
Add deliberately selected photos, direct camera captures, or links to entries. Through the iOS share sheet, you can also hand off text, URLs, or photos from other apps to JotCue; JotCue processes only the content you explicitly shared.

System integration
On supported iPhone models, JotCue can be assigned to the Action Button through an app shortcut; you make this assignment yourself in iOS Settings. Widgets, Lock Screen widgets, and a Control Center control give quick access. While a recording is active, a Live Activity can show recording status and a timer without displaying transcript or note content on the Lock Screen.

Privacy and local-first
Your content stays local on your iPhone. JotCue uses supported Apple speech technologies for local transcription, requires no account, and runs no custom backend service for your personal content. No analytics, no tracking, no ads.

Backup
JotCue offers a local, versioned backup format (.jotcuebackup) with data and attachments; audio can optionally be included. Restoring happens locally on the device. JotCue does not operate its own cloud backup service.

Trash
Deleted content first goes to the trash, where it can be restored or permanently removed.
