Ownplora Accessibility
Ownplora is being built as a native app for iPhone and iPad. This page honestly describes what is planned and what has already been checked. A full check with VoiceOver and other accessibility features on real devices is still open.
Dynamic Type
The app is meant to adapt to the text sizes set in iOS. This is still being checked on real devices.
VoiceOver
VoiceOver labels for controls are planned. Full VoiceOver support is not claimed while the manual check is open.
Light and dark, accent colors
The app offers light and dark and selectable accent colors. Whether every color combination offers sufficient contrast is still being checked.
Charts and text alternatives
Charts are meant to be readable and supplemented with text alternatives so information is not only available visually. The scope will be checked with VoiceOver.
Navigation and languages
A clear navigation and the languages German and English are goals of the development.
Known limitations
Still open are the checks of VoiceOver, large text sizes, contrast of accent colors and of the charts on iPhone and iPad. Confirmed limitations will be added here after the device checks. A feature only counts as supported once it has been confirmed on a real device.
This website and legal obligations
The Ownplora pages on tommsel.com are designed with WCAG 2.2 AA as a technical quality target. This is not a declaration of conformance. Whether and to what extent the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) applies to Ownplora or this website has not been finally assessed. Conformance with the BFSG is not declared.
Reporting barriers
Report barriers through the Ownplora support page. Please include the device model, the iOS version, the affected screen and the accessibility feature you use. Do not send health data or personal records.
