Priovue Accessibility

Priovue is being developed with accessibility in mind. This page factually describes which measures are planned and what has not yet been fully tested. Priovue is in development. The app does not claim a formal certification, full WCAG conformance or officially tested BFSG conformance.

German and English

Priovue is planned in both languages. The app's texts follow the chosen language.

Dynamic Type

Text sizes are designed to adapt to the font sizes set in iOS, including large system text.

Large text and layout

With large text, layouts are meant to stack content vertically and wrap text rather than shrinking it until it is unreadable.

VoiceOver

Controls and important states such as priority, type and progress are meant to get understandable labels. Using the app with VoiceOver has not yet been fully tested on real devices.

Touch targets

Core controls are designed with a tap area of at least roughly 44 pt.

Status not by color alone

Priorities, node types, progress and connections are meant to be conveyed additionally through text, symbols or shape, not by color alone. Project and node colors serve personal recognition.

Light and dark mode

Both appearances are deliberately supported. An instrumentally measured contrast is still pending.

Reduce Motion

If Reduce Motion is active in iOS, animations and transitions are meant to be reduced or avoided.

Graph with a list as an alternative

The visual graph is meant never to be the only way to reach information. A list based or otherwise accessible alternative is planned for relevant content and connections.

Connecting without drag and drop

Important linking actions are meant not to be possible by drag and drop alone. An alternative operation through a menu and selection is planned.

Voice capture

Voice input is meant as an additional way next to typing. Both ways stay usable.

Widgets

Widgets are planned for a later version. They are meant to be limited to a few important pieces of information and to take accessibility into account.

Not yet fully tested

Final testing on real hardware, a complete accessibility audit, use with Voice Control and an instrumentally measured contrast are not yet completed. No certification is claimed.
