Why does Temiqo wait for GPS?
For a measurement, Temiqo needs a sufficiently good GPS signal. Check that location access is allowed and wait outdoors with a clear view of the sky until the measurement quality fits.

For a measurement, Temiqo needs a sufficiently good GPS signal. Check that location access is allowed and wait outdoors with a clear view of the sky until the measurement quality fits.
GPS values depend on satellite reception, surroundings, and measurement quality. Buildings, tunnels, reflections, and a weak signal can make the display fluctuate.
GPS measures movement over ground. Vehicle speedometers are calibrated by the manufacturer and often show a different value. Temiqo gives no accuracy guarantee and does not replace a speedometer.
Quality shows how good the GPS data is for the measurement. With low quality, results are less reliable. It is an indication and not a guarantee.
Temiqo stores runs with a status. Valid with warnings means the measurement could be completed but there are notes about the measurement quality. Check the warnings in the run before relying on the result.
GPS altitude is less precise than the horizontal position and depends on signal and device. If it is not reliably available, Temiqo cannot show it.
Values only appear if the measurement can provide them. A weak GPS signal or an aborted run can cause individual values to be missing.
Choose the test in the performance area, wait until it is ready, and start from standstill. Use performance tests only where it is safe and permitted, and do not operate the iPhone while driving.
Rolling tests measure the time between two speeds without starting from standstill. They are part of Temiqo Pro.
Braking evaluates braking start, stop, time, distance, and average deceleration, among other things. It is part of Temiqo Pro. Temiqo does not state a peak deceleration value, because the orientation of the iPhone can make it unreliable.
0-X-0 combines an acceleration from standstill up to a target value with a subsequent braking to a stop. It evaluates the acceleration phase, reaching the target, the braking phase, the stop, total time, and relevant distances. It is part of Temiqo Pro. Use it only where it is safe and permitted.
Check that location access is allowed and that Temiqo has a sufficiently good GPS signal. If a measurement does not meet its start conditions, it does not start.
Temiqo also stores interrupted or invalid sessions according to their status. Interrupted means the measurement was interrupted. Invalid means the conditions for a valid result were not met. The run stays visible, and you can delete it.
Tracks are defined and stored locally in Temiqo. Temiqo guides you through it in the app. There is no built in worldwide track database.
Temiqo can store a reference recording (reference trace) of a track locally and use it for track detection and analysis. The app shows you the individual steps.
Yes. You can save multiple tracks of your own.
Yes. Multiple layout versions are possible per track.
Temiqo uses virtual gates that are evaluated geometrically on the device. The start/finish gate bounds a lap. Sectors, best sectors, and theoretical best are part of Temiqo Pro.
Possible reasons are a weak GPS signal, a path that does not cross the gate as defined, or a selected layout that does not match the track driven. Check quality and layout.
A lap can be discarded if its conditions are not met, for example with poor GPS quality or an interrupted measurement. Check quality and the status of the run.
Flight shows ground speed, GPS altitude, maximum ground speed, distance, and measurement quality for passengers, and in landscape also the elapsed time.
Ground speed is the speed over ground as measured by GPS. It is not an airspeed relative to the air.
GPS altitude is the altitude determined by GPS. It is not a barometric altimeter and not a certified altitude reading.
Aircraft use their own measurement methods and reference levels. A GPS altitude can therefore differ. Do not rely on Temiqo in flight.
No. Flight is an information display for passengers only.
Silent shows feedback on screen only. Balanced (default) adds important haptics and short tones, without voice. Eyes-Free adds voice announcements and stronger audio support. All three are included in Free.
In Silent mode, there is only feedback on screen. Choose Balanced or Eyes-Free for tones and check the volume of the iPhone.
In Eyes-Free mode, Temiqo gives voice announcements in German or English. They use Apple's speech synthesis on the device. There is no microphone, no speech recognition, and no voice recording.
Silent limits feedback to the screen, without additionally giving tones, haptics, and voice.
Temiqo can briefly lower the music volume (music ducking) so tones or announcements are audible.
In the Temiqo settings, choose Silent mode if you only want on screen feedback.
Temiqo creates exports locally, and the file only leaves the app through an export or share action you start. Advanced single run exports are part of Temiqo Pro. Export All My Data is included in Free.
CSV, JSON, and GPX. Multiple files are bundled in a ZIP archive with a readable structure.
Use Temiqo's backup function. The local backup is included in Free, and you save the file yourself. With Export All My Data, you can additionally export your data.
Use Temiqo's restore function and choose your backup file. Temiqo checks the integrity of the file. The purchase status of Temiqo Pro is not restored from a backup, use Restore Purchases for that.
With Temiqo Pro, you can save backups password protected and encrypted. Keep the password safe, a backup like that cannot be restored without it.
No. Temiqo has no cloud backup infrastructure of its own. You decide where to save a backup file. Depending on iOS settings, Apple device backups can include app data.
Live speed, flight, basic performance (0 to 100 km/h, 0 to 60 mph, basic quarter mile), basic track timing, all runs, feedback with Silent, Balanced, and Eyes-Free, Export All My Data, Delete All Data, Privacy Center, local backup, and restore. No ads.
Advanced performance (more presets, rolling, braking, 0-X-0, custom tests, drag splits, rollout, trap speed), advanced analysis with run comparison, Track Pro (sectors, best sectors, theoretical best, point to point, track analysis), advanced exports as CSV, JSON, and GPX, encrypted backups, and additional share card options.
No. Temiqo Pro is a one time lifetime purchase through Apple. There is no subscription, no trial, and no login. Apple shows price and currency before purchase.
Use Restore Purchases in Temiqo with the Apple ID you used for the purchase. Apple handles purchase and restoration through StoreKit.
Purchase status comes from Apple StoreKit. Check the internet connection and the Apple ID and use Restore Purchases. Purchase status is not restored from a backup. If the problem persists, write to us.
Purchases on the App Store are handled by Apple. You request refunds from Apple, following Apple's process. Tommsel does not process payments and cannot refund App Store purchases.
You can delete individual runs and other data in Temiqo. For all local data, use the Delete All Data function in Temiqo's local data or privacy settings, after an export if you like. Removing the app deletes its local data as far as iOS provides for it. You delete backup files separately. You find more on the privacy options page.
You find the privacy policy and an overview of your privacy options through the links at the bottom of this page. Temiqo has no account, no backend of its own for measurement data, no analytics, and no ads.
