Privacy Policy for Temiqo

This notice covers the Temiqo iPhone app. Visiting tommsel.com, including hosting, server logs, and website services, is governed by the general privacy notice of the website.

Temiqo is in development. This policy describes the current product status and will be checked against the final state of the app before release.

Temiqo has no user account and no login. There is no backend of its own for measurement data and no cloud sync of its own. Measurements work offline.

For active measurements, Temiqo can process data from Core Location, depending on the mode including: timestamp, position, speed, speed accuracy, horizontal accuracy, GPS altitude, vertical accuracy, course, and other metadata required for the measurement, as far as it is actually stored.

This data is processed for measurements you start in the app and stored locally. It is not transmitted to a Tommsel server.

Certain performance measurements can additionally use Core Motion data, among other things as an indication of movement, start, and stop states. Speed still comes from GNSS data, and Core Motion is not the sole source of absolute speed. There is no motion profiling and no analysis for advertising purposes.

Temiqo stores on your device, among other things: runs and sessions with their status, track definitions with start/finish gates, sectors and reference trace, lap and session results, and app settings. Temiqo does not send this data off your device.

Flight mode processes the same GPS sources for ground speed, GPS altitude, distance, and session data. Temiqo does not access aircraft avionics or on board systems.

Feedback settings, haptics, and tones are processed locally. Optional voice output uses Apple's speech synthesis on the device. Temiqo uses no microphone, no speech recognition, and no voice recordings, and uploads no voice data.

Export files (CSV, JSON, GPX, and ZIP) are created locally on your device. You decide whether and where to share or save them through the iOS share sheet. From that point, the chosen destination provider can process data under its own terms. There is no automatic transmission to Tommsel.

Temiqo creates local backup files that you store and manage yourself. With Pro, password protected, encrypted backups are possible. Temiqo operates no cloud backup infrastructure of its own. Depending on your iOS settings, device backups such as iCloud Backup can include app data. This processing is carried out by Apple and is governed by Apple's privacy information.

Temiqo Pro is a one time purchase through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the purchase, payment, the purchase entitlement tied to your Apple ID, price, currency, and restore. Temiqo does not process credit card numbers and operates no license server of its own. This processing by Apple is governed by Apple's privacy information and is not covered by this policy.

Temiqo uses no analytics of its own, no tracking, no advertising, and no advertising SDKs. The app does, however, process location and motion data locally for measurements, as described above.

Temiqo does not send GPS tracks, runs, or motion measurement data to a Tommsel server. StoreKit and other Apple system services are separate from this and can use the network.

Temiqo needs access to your location to perform GPS measurements. Temiqo uses location for measurements you start in the app. Continuous background location is not part of the current feature scope. You can change the location permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Local data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app, as far as iOS handles this accordingly. Backups and exports stay where you saved them. Tommsel has no central account through which local app data could be deleted on the server side.

You can delete individual runs and other data in Temiqo. The Delete All Data function deletes all local data. Removing the app deletes its local data as far as iOS provides for it. You delete backup files and exports separately where you saved them. You find practical guidance on Temiqo's privacy options page.

If you sent us personal data outside the app, for example through a support email, you can contact the address above about deletion.

Data processing when visiting tommsel.com, including hosting and server logs, is described in the general privacy policy of the website and is not covered by this app specific policy.

Where the legal requirements are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You can contact tshfm78@gmail.com and have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
