Temiqo

Many GPS and motorsport apps are either highly specialized, need extra hardware, or overload you with technical information. Temiqo brings different measurement situations together in one clear, native iPhone interface.

Key points: live GPS speed, performance tests, track timing, a flight view for passengers, saved runs with analysis, feedback without constantly looking at the screen, and local storage. Measurements work offline.

Temiqo shows live GPS ground speed in km/h, mph, knots (kn), or m/s. You also get current, maximum, and average speed, the distance covered, and the measurement quality. Speed sessions are unlimited in Free.

GPS speed is not the same as a vehicle speedometer reading and can differ from it. Temiqo gives no accuracy guarantee.

Free includes 0 to 100 km/h, 0 to 60 mph, and a basic quarter mile test with a main result, finish speed, and measurement quality.

Pro adds more acceleration presets, rolling tests, braking, 0-X-0, custom tests (speed to speed and distance), advanced drag splits, rollout control, trap speed, and a full checkpoint analysis.

Temiqo also evaluates braking measurements and combined acceleration and braking sequences. For braking, it determines braking start, stop, time, distance, and average deceleration, among other things. For 0-X-0, it evaluates the acceleration phase, reaching the target, the braking phase, the stop, total time, and relevant distances. Use performance features only where it is safe and permitted.

You define your own tracks, save multiple tracks, and can create several layout versions per track. Temiqo shows current lap, last lap, and best lap. Timing uses virtual start/finish gates that are evaluated geometrically on the device.

Pro adds sectors, best sectors, theoretical best, point to point, advanced track analysis, speed profiles, and track comparison.

Temiqo does not include a built in worldwide track database. Tracks are defined and stored locally. Temiqo is not a certified or official timing system.

As a passenger, you can see GPS based values: ground speed, GPS altitude, maximum ground speed, distance, and measurement quality. Flight sessions are unlimited in Free.

Flight is an information only mode for passengers. Temiqo is not an aviation instrument and is not suitable for navigation or operational flying. GPS altitude can differ from the figures given on the aircraft.

Temiqo offers three feedback modes. Silent shows feedback on screen only. Balanced is the default: visual feedback, important haptics, and short tones, without voice by default. Eyes-Free adds voice announcements and stronger audio support. All three modes are included in Free.

Feedback exists for readiness, start, finish, GPS warnings, sectors, laps, faster and slower, and personal bests, among other things. When needed, Temiqo briefly lowers music volume. Voice output uses Apple's speech synthesis on the device, in German and English. There is no microphone, no speech recognition, and no voice recording.

Feedback complements the measurement. It does not change the measurement data.

Track and flight have their own optimized views for portrait and landscape. In track mode, landscape emphasizes lap and sector, current lap time, last, best, and quality. In flight mode, it emphasizes ground speed, GPS altitude, maximum, distance, elapsed time, and quality. Rotating the iPhone does not reset a running measurement.

All recorded runs stay visible locally on your iPhone, with no artificial limit. Interrupted or invalid sessions are also stored and shown according to their status. There is no cloud history.

Pro adds advanced analysis: speed over time, speed over distance, distance over time, acceleration and deceleration, chart scrubbing, extended statistics, and run comparison.

Export All My Data is always Free. Exports are created locally, and multiple files are bundled into a readably structured ZIP archive. The file only leaves Temiqo through an export or share action you start yourself.

Pro adds advanced single run and raw exports as CSV, JSON, and GPX, plus additional share card options.

Local backup and restore are included in Free, including an integrity check. Pro adds password protected, encrypted backups. Temiqo has no cloud and no backup infrastructure of its own.

Set up Temiqo before you start moving and do not operate the iPhone while driving. Performance and track features may only be used where this is safe and legally permitted. Temiqo is not a street racing app and does not encourage faster driving.

GPS measurements depend on the device, satellite reception, surroundings, and measurement quality, among other things. Temiqo shows quality information where available. The software is extensively tested, while validation on real hardware against reference measurements is still pending. For that reason, Temiqo states no fixed accuracy or deviation and is not a certified or official timing system.

Temiqo Free is free and has no ads. Temiqo Pro is a one time lifetime purchase through Apple StoreKit, not a subscription. Apple shows price and currency before purchase. Purchase status is not restored from a backup: purchases can be restored in the app through Restore Purchases. Temiqo does not process credit card data.
